In Israel when we land in an airplane or jet we clap as we land to honor and thank the pilots?
Do all countries do this or is this strictly an Israeli thing?

lol, customs seem odd in other countries, we don't do that in the UK, or in Australia, or in France, or Spain, or Africa, or Norway, or Ireland, or Germany, or Russia in my experience.

No. That is what they all do in Puerto Rico. Why on earth would I clap? Clapping is for performers. It also reminds me of clapping because you thought the pilot was awful and couldn't land the plane. I wouldn't fly on a plane with a pilot I don't trust.
