Of course, I would always say that "Kind of Blue" by Miles Davis is the all-time classic and perfect jazz album. That being said, without repeating what the others have already given you, in addition to the famous jazz artists and the "classics", there are a lot of newer jazz artists who will go down in history as "classics" and I highly recommend you check them out.
