Looking for a White Fudge or Vanilla Fudge recipe....?
I'm looking for a fudge recipe I've made a few times, but I can't find it.. I know it has cream, sugar, butter, and maybe vanilla, but I forget what else.. I've found a lot of recipes with peanut butter or marshmallow cream, but I know it didn't have any of that. It also didn't have any nuts or cherries, which a lot of the recipes I've found have in them. It was white, and very buttery.. Does anyone know the recipe? Thanks.

let me check my cook book
2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
1/3 cup milk
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup butter
1 tablespoon vanilla
walnut pieces (optional)
Butter sides of heavy 2 quart saucepan.
In saucepan combine sugar, milks, and salt.
Cook and stir over med.hi. to boiling.
Clip on candy thermometer and cook and stir over med.
low heat to 238*, soft ball stage.
Remove fron heat, add butter and vanilla, DO NOT STIR.
Cool to 110F degrees.
Beat with wooden spoon till fudge becomes thick and starts to lose it's gloss.
Pour into a buttered 8 inch pan.
Score into squares.
If desired top each square with with a piece of nut

Try this...it's a recipe for the white fudge.
2 1/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. dairy sour cream
1/4 c. milk
1 tbsp. light corn syrup
2 tbsp. butter
1/4 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla
Combine sugar, sour cream and milk, corn syrup, butter, and salt. Cook, stirring constantly, 9 to 10 minutes to a soft ball stage. Remove from heat; add vanilla. Cool to lukewarm. Beat until it loses gloss. Cut while warm.
Peanut Butter Fudge: Add 2 tablespoons peanut butter.
Chocolate Fudge: Add 1 1/2 tablespoons cocoa to white fudge.

CREAMY WHITE FUDGE
1 1/2 lb. white confectioners' coating
1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
1/8 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract
In heavy saucepan, over low heat, melt confectioners' coating with sweetened condensed milk and salt. Remove from heat; stir in vanilla. Spread evenly into wax paper-lined 8 or 9 inch square pan. Chill 2 hours or until firm. Turn fudge onto cutting board; peel off paper and cut into squares. Store tightly covered at room temperature. Makes about 2 1/4 pounds.
