There are many branches in chemistry. Inorganic, organic, physical chemistry and etc.

Inorganic chemistry is all about inorganic matters, such as metal, non-metal and metalloids.

Organic chemistry talks about compounds with C-H bonds. Such as methane.

Physical chemistry is about how matters combines. How they form bonds between eachother.

If I were you, I would go to wiki instead for informations.

Chemistry (from Egyptian kēme (chem), meaning "earth") is the science concerned with the reactions, transformations and aggregations of matter, as well as accompanying energy and entropy changes during such processes. It is also a field of study to investigate the physical and chemical properties of substances from the subatomic to macromolecular scale, such as molecules or crystals.

Robert Boyle (1661), Antoine Lavoisier (1787), John Dalton (1808), and Jöns Jakob Berzelius (1828) are considered the founders of modern chemistry (sometimes referred to as the "Fathers of Modern Chemistry"), though some consider Geber (d. 815) to be the first chemist.
