If you dont have any blown fuses, you more than like have a wiring issue. In order to diagnose that sort of problem, you absolutely have to have a complete wiring diagram of the vehicles electrical system. Its best to take it to a specialty shop. I always recommend getting this sort of problem checked out at a dealership. I know its high price, but it is worth it. Those guys know everything that there is to need to know about your vehicle. Most independent shops will overcharge you for this type of problem anyway. You definitely have to get it fixed, because it is a safety issue and illegal to drive without rear lights. You could either pay a dealership the money to fix it or pay fines where ever you live and still have to pay to get it fixed. If you`re low on cash, you could always just take it to the dealership and ask them to diagnose the problem for you. There is only a minimal charge for that kind of work, but most of the time they will cut you a deal just to get your business. Good luck.
