Let me tell you my story. I work in retail, I'm a electonics manager, at one of the largest companies in the world. How did I become an electonics manger, by starting as a cart pusher 8 years ago. I've been in the depatment for 3 years, and manager for 1 1/2 years. We recently went Supercenter going on 2 years in October. I don't have a degree, just a high school diploma. Went from street thug to business man, from guidance, inspiration, motivation, and my fight mentality, and never quit, but die trying attitude. My store manger has been my role model. I've hit record breaking numbers in sales, with millions in one year since being supercenter. One million alone in last years last quarter. Electronics has always been number one in high shrink since the the store opened in my town back in 82. Last year electronics had a shrink of 46 thousand. I cut that almost in half and some with a shrink this year of 17 thousand. I was number 2, the first time it hasn't been number one since the store has opened in 82.
The morale of the story is, it doesn't matter what you have, but what you want, and go hard every day to get it. Stand up and fight for what you want and follow your heart. My heart led me from a total failure to being somebody. A somebody that many people have offered me store manager positons in other certain retails in town. I know who helped make me though, and that is where my loyalty stands. If I wanted more money than I would go the the competitors, cause its higher position and better pay. I could make ten times as much in the company I'm in at store manager though, than the other retailers. You want inspiration, then, even a guy like me can start my own business cause my business taught me how. If you want it, go get it. Electronics is my thang, thats why I'm good at what I do. I know my merchandise, my customers, and how to make the money. I know where the money is in the merchandise, and I have what the people want. What are you good at. How much love do you have for what you want?
