What do you do to keep from going out of your mind?

Question

Took a walk down the alley today

I'm getting used to the smell and the sounds

Don't look out of my window no more

What's the point, everything's brown

Sometimes I wanna move to the other part of town

But to keep from going out of my mind

I move the furniture around

No place to park in my neighborhood

So there's hundred dollar tickets all over the ground

All the cops keep writing us up

And we keep throwin' em down

Sometimes I wanna move to the other side of town

There's a street over there where the landlords are fair

And a parking space can always be found

Instead I'll move my furniture around

The guy next door plays Dylan till four

I bang on the wall but he wont turn it down

I can tell by the noise what's going on upstairs

Sounds like they're moving furniture around

All the people moved out of my building last week

They threw the stuff they didn't want on the ground

Took a look I couldn't believe all the wonderful things I found

More furniture to move around

Every once in a blue moon... going to a garage sale and finding a treasure from other peoples' 'trash' is great.... I loved out West, where most suburban houses have a shared back alley, and the rummage sales were usually in the back of the house, and didn't end up blocking off the damn street with all the parked cars! Sheesh!

How do I keep from losing my mind?... I don't... I lose it every once in awhile, and then it turns up in a trash heap somewhere... ready to be used and lost again... the key is to make sure you can always find it again... don't let someone else buy it..... know what I'm talkin' 'bout?

I think what we need to start doing St. Dave, because you know I love these types of questions too... is always list the composer or band in the comments when selecting a BA. Whaddyer say?

Great lyrics... I too am eager to know who sings this... but, I think my boyfriend is the one playin' Dylan till four... sorry about that.
