Swirls in my black truck and oxidization in my rims?
I have a 2002 Black Toyota Highlander and I made the HUGE mistake of compounding and waxing it one day. Now I have swirl marks everywhere!
I've heard of using a "clay" product and there are polishes and waxes that say they remove swirl marks - which is best?
Also, I have lovely rims that are original to the truck that now have some oxidization on them, is there any way to get rid of that?

swirls in the paint, hmmm, geese thats a hard one, i havent heard of anything that youcan take that out with. maybe try buffing the car out now. it might take off what you put on. your rims, degreaser, it works great. i was just out washing and waxing my 04 liberty yesterday. the rims looked horrible. i sprayed some degreaser on them, let it sit for about 3 minutes. the scrubbed down the wheels and the dirt, grease, grim, and brake dust all just fell right off.

you can get the swirl marks off by buffing it off and waxing it, i know i say this all the time but just take it to a detailing place they will do for you less hassle and they can provide a good wax job, the oxidization might be due to brake dust and no protection on the rims use this product http://www.prestone.com/enlarged/index.php?product...
and follow the directions if the stains dont come off then use this http://www.permatex.com/products/automotive/appear...
and then apply the first product to provide a coat of protection for future protection.Source(s): i detail cars.
