There really are hundreds! In England, you find different dialects for the South West, South East, West Midlands, East Midlands, East Anglia, North West, North East, Geordie, Borders. Then there is a range of Scottish and Welsh dialects. The above are the borad chategories, but within, say the West Midlands, there are variations between Coventry and Birmingham where different words and accents are used. Put on top of that all the ethnic minority dialects, which again vary with location, and you're well into the hundreds.
