    Nearly one third of all pregnacies end in miscarriage in the first trimester, and quite a few after. It's normal and natural, NOT necessarily a sign that you can't have healthy babies, although in today's world, any incomplete is somehow the mother's fault. Pthhhhh on that, I say....

    As stated, you are looking for more than just medical advice. But here's some anyway. Take your women's health herbs. Not only will they assist with any physical issues, they will also impart thier wisdom to your body. Wild Yam, Saw Palmetto, Red Raspberry and esp. Vitex, which is the world's greatest womb toner. Cures just about everything if you take it for long enough.

    Here are some book references.

    Susan Weed can help with nutritional and herbal support before, during, and a bit after pregnancy, including stopping a miscarriage and recovering from one. Yes, there are herbs to do that. We HAVE been doing this a long time.

    Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year

    http://www.amazon.ca/Wise-Woman-Herbal-Childbearin...

    This is written by a midwife and has physical and mental exercises to deal with the beauty and challenge of becoming a mother. The meditations are not nearly stressed enough, and some women really need them. Not dealing with the pregnancy, or being scared, can tip the balence for some women.

    Prenatal Yoga And Natural Birth (Paperback)

    Took me years to figure out that one of my cats has to sacrifice it's life before I can get pregnant. One life must be given for another. Now the dreams I had for years about giving birth to kittens makes sense. Another woman I know has the exact same signs. It's spiritually consistant and energy conserving, but I don't try to get close to cats anymore...

    But I do anyway.

    First, I am saddened by your loss. Second, I suggest you listen to your doctor or midwives advice, given your past history. Third, and this is ONLY because you are asking under the "Mythology and Folklore" section, there are certain practices considered 'safe' or condusive for a successfull pregnancy. Some of these are:

    -no knots; in your hair or clothing (like a knotted sash);

    -find and keep holed stones in the home, threaded with red ribbon;

    -acquire water from sacred wells that promote fertility, or visit sacred sites that do the same;

    -keep your mind free from any negative thoughts - which means not watching horror movies, the evening news, violent films, etc.

    -find a big-breasted / big-bellied goddess figurine to wear as an amulet;

    -above all else ... Above All Else .. eat healthy, rest much, be mindful of the precious life growing within you, ask your Mother Ancestors for help, and listen to your care providers!

    Best of Luck!

    I knew a couple of women who kept miscarrying and one that was told she would never have children. Each one kept on trying, kept the hope alive, got healthy, took care of themselves and now, 2 of them have 2 children and the one who was suppose to be technically barren, has 3.

    Don't worry. Everything happens for a reason. Just keep on praying, take good care of yourself and who knows what will happen. Maybe in a few years, we'll see your questions on how to deal with babies not sleeping thru the night!

    Lots of Love and God Bless!

    Please get hold of the book "Sophia" Living Loving-Her Own Story

    by A.E.Hotchner

    Sophia Loren, after many losses, found a doctor who helped her, and she had two beautiful, healthy babies; she describes the procedures and the experiences in detail. So yes, you too can give birth to healthy children; do not give up your dreams!

    Good luck!

    Keep trying. Every baby you miscarry is more stem cells for the scientists, and when you finally get it right you will know the joy of having your own child.
