Will this RAM work on my laptop that I am purchasing?

I purchased a Vostro 1000 from dell.com and it has 512mb of RAM with XP Home and I want to upgrade the RAM for my gaming experience with the 256mb ATI Radeon Xpress 1150. This is what it says: 512MB Shared Single Channel DDR2 SDRAM at 533MHZ, 1 Dimm. I was looking at very low priced RAM and I found 2 that I like. Which ones will work? http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/ACP-EP-512MB-DDR2-N...

or this one:

I understand the second one is fast...but i don't know if it will work.

and if i update it to 1GB will it work for CSS?

Amd Sempron 3500+

ATI RAdeon Xpress 1150 256mb

60GB Harddrive

Xp Home

Thank you for all answers

If neither 512mb will work, give me a site that is trusted like best buy or walmart for a low price that will wokr and put it in your answer

Thanx

    Get this online - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82...

it's 1 Gig, ideally you should go for 2 Gig since your video memory is shared with the system memory (probably on an as needed basis) so subtract 256MB from whatever amount of system RAM you want.

you should buy 2x 512 sticks from a reliable/well known RAM maker. RAM is a precious resource and you really want to go for quality - as it will make a big difference - maybe save up for a month or two and get 2x 1G sticks of the crucial...

    Good Luck..

    Read your owners manual.

    Buy whatever it lists.
