Isn't Alberto Gonzales, as Attorney General, in a job way over his head?

Bush hired life-long friends for top jobs...not a good qualification for the jobs!

Gonzales was way over his head, he never was a brilliant lawyer, he was always a hack. Theres nothing wrong with appointing you friends if they are capable, Georges friends are invariably less than qualified for important posts that they are given. Purely political appointees used to be given posts like ambassador to Ireland or England, place where they couldn't do much harm, now they are given posts like head of DOJ and heckuva job Brownie, and when they are needed desperately, they don't know what to do. That's the truly sad story in this administration.

He's in so deep, he can't even make sense of his own misstatements. Hospital to see Ashcroft? He bumbled all over trying to explain. It's actually entertaining listening to him. It's kind of like catching someone in a lie while making them twist as you further question them knowing they are digging a bigger hole(long sentence - sorry).

Source(s): NPR did a nice bit on him just this AM.

Is this because he is Mexican? Why are so many people racists?
