Is there a single person from the GOP who's capable of debating the issues?

"NASHUA, N.H. - Presidential hopeful Mitt Romney took aim at Democratic rivals on Sunday, calling them all unprepared to lead the country and comparing Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton's economic plan to that of Socialist Karl Marx."

Socialist this, Karl Marx that. On this forum, you can't go a single page w/o seeing something about socialism.

And once again someone from the GOP cannot debate the issues, so they once again turn to slandering the source.

I don't know if you guys noticed it, but the American people are growing tired of your GOP rhetoric. They're not being fooled anymore by unfounded slander.

Keep calling us Socialists. In fact, keep on saying it after we take the White House. That lets me know the real issues are not w/in your collective grasp and many others are catching on to this juvenile propoganda and seeing it for what it is.

The Republicans are running scared these days. They're having a harder and harder time defending the old neo-con positions. Their programs just aren't working out.

So what do they do? They do what they do best--'fears and smears'. They threaten us that if Democrats take over terrorism will happen on every street, and they mischaracterize every Democratic idea as 'socialist'. (Apparently 'liberal' has been worn out through overuse.)

They don't debate the -real- issues because the real issues make them look bad! And they're all afraid to appear too critical of President Bush.

Imagine having to run for president and say all along that you think Bush is doing a fine job! I almost feel sorry for them!

Actually several are quite capable of debating but they don't want to because if they get into a real debate or real issues they will lose and so they prefer to deflect or blame or avoid questions.

Anything against their agenda is "socialist" and "liberal." Because they are the minority, they've created this imaginary 50/50 divide where anyone against Bush and the neocon agenda are the dreaded "liberals" who are unpatriotic and immoral (like they should talk). Truth is, most Americans feel the same way about Bush and the neocon agenda--regardless of party affiliation.

Yes, Ron Paul will kick all of the Democrats asses. If only some crazy neo-cons come to their senses, we can prevent any socialist from taking the White House next year.

Yeah - we love the name calling don't we?

It's funny too - how we are bleeding hearts that just whine and complain about things. Any GOP's volunteer for any community services outside of being sentenced to it? I volunteer at my local library. It's not much but it's something.

I think the Repo's are just upset that they are losing power. Whenever someone loses power is when the mud-slinging begins.

"By the late 1960s the most powerful figures in the Socialist Party of America were Max Shachtman and Michael Harrington, who agreed upon a parallel strategy of maintaining the Socialist Party as an independent third party that fielded its own candidates, and acting as a pressure group within the Democratic Party. "

Half-way down the page under "Split".

You don't know what you're talking about, son. I've been fighting it since the 1970s when this happened. Our party has been infiltrated by Socialists.

It's not propaganda. It's fact. If you can't recognize a direct quote from the First Lady as her goal in government by her own lips, you're in deeper than you think.

Some of us are trying to take our party back.

    You aren't helping.

Duncan Hunter, Tom Tancredo, Mitt Romney, Rudy Giuliani, Fred Thompson, Ron Paul, and Tommy Thompson are all capable of discussing the issues. It is their opinion that the Dem candidates are not capable of leading this country, and I concur. If you want all the 12 to 20 million illegal aliens in our country legalized, then vote for a Dem. If you want an open border with Mexico, then vote for a Dem. If you want our govt to follow a policy of appeasement with radical Islamic groups, then vote for a Dem.

And you say the democrats do not do the same thing. If the program from senator Clinton is a socialistic program, then it is socialism.

Liberals are socialists. Nationalized health care is a great example of this.
