A Great and Terrible Beauty and Rebel Angels by Libba Bray. Nice, long books.
Crank, Impulse, and Burned by Ellen Hopkins. Written in verse, very real, and Burned will make you cry. Well, they probably all will.
The House of the Scorpion by Nancy Farmer. One of the best sci/fi books out there.
Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. Futuristic society where you get a surgery to turn you pretty when you turn 16.
Read anything Sarah Dessen has written; you won't be sorry.
All of Deb Caletti's book are good- Wild Roses wasn't that great, but the others are exceptional.
Maximum Ride series by James Patteson. Bird-human experiment; lots of action.
Eragon and Eldest. Dragons.
The Boyfriend List, The Boyfriend Book by E. Lockhart. Really great series.
Fly on the Wall by E. Lockhart. Girl gets turned into a fly on the wall of the boy's locker room at her high school. :)
13 Little Blue Envelopes by Maureen Johnson. Awesome book.
Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shephard. About four girls in rich, exclusive, perect Rosewood, but of course, things aren't as perfect as they seem. Just give it a try.
The Book Thief by Markus Zusak. WWII book told from Death's POV. Will make you cry.
Playing in Traffic by Gail Giles. This'll mess with your mind. Read What Happened to Cass McBride if you're not too claustrophobic. If you are, don't read it. It'll freak you out too much.
The Princess Diaries by Meg Cabot. The books are completely different from the movie, and most of Meg's other books are also great.

Try books by Diana Wynn Jones. The Dark Lord of Dersham is very good. Along with Howel's Moving Castle and the Christomanci series.

Have you read Peeps by Scott Westerfeld? It's an interesting take on vampires in the modern world.

that's not cool that you have to wait until your sister finishes the book first- go out and buy yourself a copy, then when your done just sell it to a used bookstore.
