not at ''ALL'' it's sad seeing these little babies dressing up in grown women clothing exposing their little bodies when they dont know what 2 expect cause their 2 young and dont know any better.... and it's more sad seeing the media or whoever is in charge of the little babies modeling buissness advertising the buissness in the first place..these babies are only babies and dont know nothing yet so how possibly can they have a model contract when they dontknow what 2 expect the media or who ever is behind all of this should be a shame of this because if they can have some baby do this then they are a WACO themselves...and what do u expect next them selling their bodis next? huh? so i dont think thats a good idea because thats a horrible idea for some young baby 2 be already in the modeling buissness im mean thats good and everything but thats just horrible........if my little one ever get picked 4 some mess like that then i will go off on every media there is that got something 2 do with that.............THAT JUST A NO NO... so please dont let ur baby do this because thats not cool at all it's just not=(

My son used to model for our local malls when he was 1 1/2. I think as long as the parent does not go overboard w/ the modeling (JonBenet type thing) and that your child can still have a social life at her age and be w/ her friends. I personally think it's a good idea to have your child model every once in a while (not day after day) and the money made could go to your daughter's education, which is what I did for my son.

As long as it's something small without pressure & fame, it's ok. Just modeling for a clothing catalogue should be fine. But once you start paying money to enter all these fancy contests, it becomes more about your pride than your childs well-being. Let a kid be a kid - no hard work, no pressure, no need to feel perfect.

It will be nice for her for a while but it will start to get stressful after a while! Yeah its also nice to have a model for a daughter but you don't want her to have to grow up that fast. Just make sure the jobs she does are ones tht are fun for her. Make sure you pay extra attention to her though. If she starts acting stressed or trying to act 'mature' it may be time to cool it for a while. You don't want your 2 year old acting like she 12 anytime soon! Good luck!

    Nope.

She'll be treated like a piece of meat. The wardrobe people, the make-up people, the hair people, the photographer -- none of them care about your daughter's well-being. None of them care about her self-esteem. None of them love her. They just want to make money off her.

It's about impossible to shield a child from the negative comments that WILL be made about her hair, her teeth, her posture, whatever. And these people will almost universally be BRUTAL because they don't love your daughter. She's a dime a dozen to them...they just don't care.

Please don't do this. It's not fair to her.

I think it's a great idea. My parents turned down the opportunity of me modeling for the gap when I was two, and everyday I wish they hadn't.

Wow, your daughter must be very cute as to be spotted by a modelling agent. Anyway, you should do what your heart tells you to do; as there are pros and cons to every situation. Ask for your husband's opinion.

I think its ok to an extent. Those beauty pagent girls you see on TV are sick. Thier mothers are even more sick. It becomes wrong when your child no longer has a childhood and instead they are competeting at such a young age. Not to mention pressure to be beautiful. I think Those kind of beauty pagents instill very wrong ways of thinking into young girls heads.

I think its a fine idea! Set her up with her own savings account so when she gets older she can reap those rewards! Also get her one that gets interest! Heck it could help her out with college or even get a car!

It's ok every once in a while, just don't make it a habit.
