I've got the feeling you've got so many virus', spyware, trojans and other malware on your computer that you've pretty much thrown up your hands and want to start over, right?

Learn what programs you need to help you fight all the bad stuff you can download on your computer...

If you do re-format...start by installing these FREE programs, learn how to use them and you won't have to go through this again:

    RECOMMENDED SECURITY FREEWARE:

    ANTI-VIRUS>>AVG Free Edition

    Ad-Aware 2007

Here's a little something extra that you'll enjoy using:

    1) Iconoid: a Terrific Desktop Icon Manager:

    2) Pop Peeper: an excellent eMail Notifier:

CAUTION: be careful which version you choose when you go to a Software site...they usually also have versions that you must pay for...sometimes they are called "PRO" or "PLUS" version. In most cases, the FREE version is all you need unless you prefer the added features that the PAID version comes with.

    Good luck!

If by reset, you mean "reset to the factory preloaded state", then follow the instructions you should have recieved from the manufacturer about performing a complete recovery.

it really depends on the computer you have and if you have the reload disks that came with it, if no you will need a retail copy of your operating system with the key. be sure to save any documents and files such as pictures and music that you want to keep to disks. if you give me a bit more info about the machine I can be more specific

You will need the windows disk that came with your computer. After that find a guide online that tells how to reinstall windows and print it out. I could tell you but its a long process.

Format it! It would totally remove everything... And when you're finish formatting it, you can then install a fresh copy of Windows.
