    27^(4/3) = (27^(1/3))^4

    27^(1/3) = 3 (since 3*3*3 = 27)

    3^4 = 81

    So 27^(4/3) = 81

The 1/3 in the exponent means take the cubed root of 27, which is 3. Then take this to the fourth power: 3^4 = 81

You need to raise 27 to the 4th power and take the cube root. You can do that in either order, and I highly recommend taking the cube root first since 27^4 is large to do by hand.

    27^(4/3) = [27^(1/3)]^4 = 3^4 = 81.

    27^ 4/3

    = (3^3)^4/3

    = 3^4 = 81

well i would read it as, 27 power of 4 to the root of 3, which would be

    27^4 = 531,441

and then find the third (3) root of 531, 1441 which will be 81 if im not mistaken

i hope thats what you meant
