    (4.5/x=8-x/x-8)

    On the right side, reduce x/x to 1. It then becomes:

    8 - 1 - 8, which is -9.

    So 4.5/x = -9

    Multiply by x on both sides.

    4.5 = -9x

    Divide by -9 on both sides.

    4.5/(-9) = -9x/(-9)

    -1/2 = x

    4.5x = 8 -x/x -8

    if you move the x/x (anything over itself =1) to the left side of the equation it would become positive making the left side 5.5x.

    that would leave 8 - 8 on the right side.

    You can 't divide anything into 0.

    Therefore your answer is 0.
