If you have the rash now, simply apply a good cortizone cream and some baby powder about twice a day. The cream will help cure the rash & itching and the powder will help keep the area protected. To prevent bumps in the future, make sure you always use a fresh blade, warm water, & a quality shaving cream or gel. If the hair is sort of long, shave downward or in the direction of the hair FIRST to get the bulk of the hair off. Then apply more shaving cream and shave in the opposite direction. Don't apply a lot of pressure to the razor - be gentle. Even though when you get done and it still doesn't feel completely smooth it's only because you are in the shower and the warm water makes your skin swell so your hair follicles stick out more. After you get out of the shower and your skin cools down it will feel perfectly smooth. Next, dry off and apply a generous amount of lotion to the area and a sprinkling of baby powder. If you haven't shaved this area a lot before, just give it time to get used to it. The first few times you'll usually get a rash but after repeated shaving, the skin will eventually become less and less irritated. I highly recommend and always use a "Gillette Mach 3" razor and I never use each blade more than 3 or 4 times. If you prefer disposable razors, which I DON'T recommend, at least make sure the razor has 3-4 blades and only use the razor 1 or 2 times before throwing it away. The key is using the right razor with fresh blades. The blades for the Mach 3 and such others are kind of expensive but it beats having razor burn any day!

Try this. Do it after a shower. Use a quality shaving cream . Then lather in the cream and shave with the grain of the hair. After use a non acahol after save lotion and then splash cold water on the area, You won't get the bumps if you do this.
