JJ Redick has a great shot but he choked every year at the NCAA tournament. He can't handle pressure and that's no good. No NBA player wants you on the team if you can't be there at crunch time because NBA players get a bonus check every game they advance in the playoffs (that's the NBA gets good during playoffs because they play like they actually care).
JJ will not be seeing any playing time. His game is similar to Trajon Langdon who played for Duke years ago (sorry can't spell the name). Coach K loves shooters, hence Langdon and Redick, but where is Trajon now? Nobody knows? He was drafted and in the league for a little while. In the NBA you cannot just be a shooter, you have to be a scorer. Coach K was a drill sergeant and ran an offense with a lot of screens. In the NBA that does not happen coaches in the NBA can't make their players do anything---they try but really what can you do to Ben Wallace, oh yeah fine him $5000 for his hair? You have to make your own shot because if Shaq doesn't feel like setting you a screen, guess what, he's not going to set you a screen. Ask Kobe, he learned the hard way.
JJ may last 5 years tops unless he develops a serious cross-over
