why is the word Easter in the bible???

Did Romans, influence the King James to place that in . I know it goes back farther than that in history.(Babylon and others ) I have a hard time believing that if this is in the bible (corruption) . Then why not the verses about the Jesus is God thing. There are so few .

Acts 12:4 And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people.

The word Translated Easter is the Greek word Pascha which should have been translated as Passover and is translated 28 other times in the New Testament as Passover.

It is there because the translators of the New Testament had a doctrine to promote trying to show a separation of the Christian from the Jews when in fact there was no such separation till after the Bar Kokhba revolt when the Christians refused to acknowledge Simon bar Kokhba as the messiah so they were thrust from the synagogues.

As far as I know this only exists in the King James Version. This is why when you see something that doesn't seem to fit check out the original language first. Often this clears up the confusion.

The word "Easter" is revision of the pagan Word Eostra which is the pagan feast of the Vernal Equinox. The early Church tended to celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus at about the same time that the Pagans celebrated Eostra (Also spelled Eostara and Ostara). The name for the TIME of year simply stuck in the minds of the common folks of the era and simply has become known to the Christian world of today as Easter. The same can be said for Christmas which occured during the pagan Festival of Yule, and today Yule is synonymous with Christmas. As a further note, Jesus was NOT born in December. In December, the shepherds would NOT have been out in the fields with their flocks of sheep. According to the Bible, Jesus's family had to attend the Roman Census, which would have been held on the Birthday of the Roman Emporer (Augustus Ceaser). So to be in the town of their origin they would have had to have been in Bethlehem about the Beginning of August and NOT December. The early church placed the "celebration" of Jesus's birth in December as a means of converting the Pagans of the time to Christianity.

Acts 12:4 (King James Bible only)

And when he had apprehended him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four quaternions of soldiers to keep him; intending after Easter to bring him forth to the people. (read prior verses to see that 'Easter' was Herod's holiday worshiping a false god PLEASE look it up)

You need to understand the devil is and always has been busy destroying Gods word and the King James Bible is more correct than any translation and this is one of hundreds of changes other bibles did. You owe it to yourselves to research this. NO other Bibles added the word 'Easter' why? Because it was a pagan holiday for Baal and they wanted to hide this fact. Please study this further. Yes, I celebrate Easter to honor God in Heaven, not Baal.

When you find this true search and study Christmas and the Christmas tree. Search Cupid for Valentine day. I wrote Billy Graham on these issues as I was so troubled (yes he is just a man) and was in short ok with these celebrations as long as we only worshiped God the father of Christ Jesus.

You must be born again to understand truth

An atheist can't find God for the same reason that a thief cannot find a policeman

    Give your life to Jesus

    God loves you

Christian holidays have all been based on earlier pagan holidays.
