How do "do not walk on grass" signs get there?

Do the people just have really long arms?

They must have ran on the grass, not walked.

Hmm, I guess someone must walk on the grass to place the sign. But one person walking on the grass isn't the problem, it's the 20,000 other people who would walk on the grass throughout the day, week, etc. if the sign wasn't there.

DUDE.... flying purple lawn pixies with popeye-huge arms that can carry the signs and little hammers to put the signs up on the tree, or push them into the grass. They're also responsible for the strategically placed, but fairly invisible dog doo you step in at the most inopportune times.

The pixies don't like jokes about walking on their grass. Watch for a flaming pile of dog doo on your doorstep tonight.

No the people that own the grass walk on it but they just dont want anyone else on it because they think it will be ruined if too many people walk on it.

Sounds like one of those double standard type signs.
