Can we make Pickles without artificial preservatives?

    most of the home made pickles donot need artificial preservatives. instead salt, spices and oil, sugar act as presevative in them.

    Yes you can make pickles without artificial preservatives.

    Its very simple instead of that preservatives you just use mustard oil or seasame oil thats it and keep that pickle out side for longgggggggg time, and if possible sometime just let them keep under the sun thats it.

    So make more n more pickles and njoyyyyyy

    Yes! And easily, too!

    The fermentation and preservation of foods with salt and pepper (aka 'pickling') is fun, easy and has been done for-flippin'-ever without nasty chemicals.

    Here's a simple one:

    1 c. sugar

    1 c. vinegar, apple cider vinegar

    1 c. water

    1 heaping tbsp. mixed pickling spices

    Put spices in small bag. Boil all together.

    I have used this recipe to pickle, cucumbers, carrots, brussels sprouts, pineapple, pears, peaches, beets, hard boiled eggs, prunes and figs and apple rings. Just drop fruit in the brine and simmer for about 10 minutes, gently.

    I make pickles by just pouring a hot solution of salt, vinegar, water, and pickling spice over quartered pickling cucumbers and let them sit in the refrigerator for a couple of days.

    You will have to experiment with the amount of each ingredient.

    Pickles don't need any artificial ingredients as they contain the things that you are pickling plus sugar and vinegar. All natural.

    andhra pickles are an example.salt,mustard powder,chilly powder or methi powder and salt are the main ingredients.the only precaution use the right type of mangoes with shell, dry otherwise under the sun. keep it dry.the pickle can be preserved for over year.use dry spoons while using,cover the pickle with proper lid and keep it under the sun whenever you need to.

    Add more salt and enough oil to cover the pickle with a bit of vinegar

    Why do you think that people use saso ka teal.For making pickle nothing is artificial.Maybe you learn from someone not an expert.
