Does the United States Postal Service run on the 4th of July?

    Nope....Yayyyy! No bills today!!

    The post office is closed on the 4th. However there are many members of the Nightwatchman and Mailhandlers Union busy at work. You see the Post Office does not stop transferring mail because of a holiday.

    no mail delivered but I think the main large postal offices are open with some people working on the inside but not for mail intake

    Are you kidding? Anything remotely considered a holiday means a day of leisure for the union hacks in the postal service.

    No, with the exception of Express Mail packages.

    Offices and mail delivery do not run... except express mail.

    Yes it is operational, no there is no mail delivery..
