    714 BC

714 was the total number of home runs Babe Ruth hit. The record stood from 1935 until it was broken by Hank Aaron in 1974 and passed by Barry Bonds in May 2006.

714 was the badge number of Sgt. Joe Friday, played by Jack Webb in the radio and television series Dragnet.

714 is the flight number of the plane which is hijacked in mid-air, in the strip album called Flight 714 featuring the reporter Tintin.

714 is a slang term for the drug, methaqualone. This is due to the fact that 714 was stamped on the tablet sold under the brand name Quaalude by William H Rorer Inc.

714 is an obsolete state route in Ohio.

Ask the weirdo who told you what the heck they mean.

Here i don't find any reason why one should say u not to remember it.

But 714 is also the amount of AMPHETAMINE in drugs used in the early days. So it is harmful for the body and hence may be one must have suggested u not to remember it.

The number 714 was significant, back in the 70's, as a high powered amphetamine. It was a dose of speed, that would get you flying and keep you there for awhile. Whoever told you not to remember that number, has given you good advise. I lost a few freinds, to 714. Peace!
