How long does it take to become a RN?

I am in high school and think I want to become a nurse. How long does it take to become a registered nurse? I live in KY if that varies anything.

To become an RN, you can either get an associate's degree or a bachelor's degree, in both cases that takes about 4 years. Bachelors takes 4 years bc it's at a 4 year college and an Associates takes between 3.5 and 4 years bc you basically still take the same prerequisites before you can begin the actual nursing program, which is two years.
