Sure. Why not. I had a friend who always had a 6 pack in his luggage. I took his example and have had a couple in mine, but never a case. Normally bringing back home the stuff not drunk I bought to enjoy in my hotel room. But also occasionally bringing a couple of domestic beer to enjoy in a foreign country.

A couple of things to keep in mind though. You want to be old enough to have beer in both your departure and destination. You want to pack it well, if one breaks, everything will smell like beer. You want to watch your luggage weight restrictions that are quite expensive on some airlines. If you are traveling internationally, you want to know your customs regulations and declare the beer.
