Why will the Yankees and Orioles finish their game on July 27th? Shouldnt it go back to the last completed inning which would be the 7th? They played the 5 innings needed to be considered a game so why do they have to finish it?

It's a rule change which took effect at the beginning of this season (I'm sure the Yankees suddenly like that rule). It does seem like a strange way to do things though doesn't it? I am guessing they made the change to prevent teams from stalling when rain starts moving in.

Because the Orioles are playing at home and get last at bat.
