Cy Young is the only pitcher with more than 500 wins... He's got 511.

Second most is Walter Johnson with 416.

Tied for third, at 373 wins, are Grover Alexander and Christy Mathewson.

The highest active players are :

Roger Clemens. Started the year at 348. He's won once this season.

    Greg Maddux : 333 + 7 this season.

    Tom Glavine 290 + 7 this season.

    Randy Johnson 280 + 4 this season.

    Yes Cy Young has 511.

Why in the hell would a reliever or closer have 500 wins? You must be a female to a statement like that.

Cy Young did it with 511, but that's it. When you think about it, it's a pretty amazing record. That's like having 20 win seasons for 25 years. Considering most pitchers last about 12 years tops, that's insane.

Yes all these guys are correct with Cy Youngs 511 wins , but do you know who holds the record for losses. Guess who?

Also Cy Young with 316. The man Holds the record for wins and losses. Unreal .

I believe Cy Young had 511 wins. I doubt that will ever happen again though. That record is etched in stone.

Cy Young. He had 511 wins.

He also has the most losses, becuase he pitched in so many games.

One and only one, the one-and-only Denton True "Cy" Young, with 511. He pitched from 1890-1911.
