When teachers punish students by taking away recess they do not keep them inside. Students go outside and stand by a wall or in a ring for punishment. If they cannot go outside then it is called in-school suspension otherwise it is "loss of recess" that's other term unless you are outside of U.S. :) Now...RECESS TIME...everyone OUT!

My kids either got a " in school suspension" or a write up-it was called a sad jag-since the school was the Jaguars
