I intend to vote against both of my "senators", but unfortunately, they don't come up for re-election for another 4 years. My bet is that this is what all of these turn coats are counting on, the perpetual short memory of the American voters.

Well, not this little black duck!!! I've got a long memory and they will pay in votes the next time around!!

Yeah, I agree. I won't base my decision entirely on this vote, especially not the cloture vote - I'll give them a chance to change by the final vote on the measure, but I will also look at their ability to stand up for us on other critical and courageous votes.

But overall, I think people like Lindsay Graham and Trent Lott have clearly been in office too long. They've lost respect for their constituents. If they don't understand what the people are concerned about, they resort to name-calling and insults to explain away the opposition to the bill. That's not what we need from our representatives. Even if they vote wrong on the bill, I might be able to forgive them if they have a good reason, but that kind of arrogance that Graham and Lott have exhibited is unforgiveable. They need to go home...simple as that.

Me, I even emailed Arnold yet he's an immigrant and thinks we choose a number of those human beings right here by way of fact bi-golly no person else will do their jobs....Oh and the white homestead additionally! With little success.. i think of the yankee those that oppose amnesty could desire to march like the Mexicans do .. yet how do you persuade them to drop what they are doing and march? I bear in mind a time while i replaced right into a baby and we did those kinds of jobs for further pocket funds! We now stay in a predominantly unlawful Mexican city and that they don't have confidence us white individuals for not something...My young little ones lives do not even come on the brink of ways i replaced into raised and the probabilities I had...unhappy unhappy day in u . s . while there is not any stability..

Saxby Chambliss of Georgia was in favor of the bill until the people of the State wrote him thousands of letters and e mails to protest. He changed his mind an voted against it. He is up for re-election in 2008, so I will vote for him because he listened. The Democrats never run viable candidates here (they are always from Atlanta and not known elsewhere) anyway so Chambliss will be re-elected
