What is it?

Marble walls as white as milk lined with the shin as soft as silk.

Within the fountain crystal clear a golden apple does appear.

No doors to this stronghold but thieves brake in and steal the gold.

What is it?

    It's a nursery rhyme by Mother Goose:

    In marble walls as white as milk,

    Lined with a skin as soft as silk,

    Within a fountain crystal clear,

    A golden apple doth appear;

    No doors there are to this stronghold,

    Yet thieves break in and steal the gold.

    The answer is "An Egg".
