can austrailian shepherds, rotties, and other dog breeds with docked tails actaully be born that way?

    Only Australian shepards are born without tails, unless it is some kind of birth defect. All the other breeds get them docked @ a couple days of age.

    Well, I had Rotts for nearly 22 years and never saw one born with a docked tail. On the contrary, Germany and many European countries now forbid that their tails be docked. After all of these years, the discussion is what type of tail they should have. Should it droop down, should it be carried over their back, etc.

    As others have mentioned, Aussies can have short tails.

    Some aussies are born with naturally bobbed tails.
