True worms are nematodes. One of them is Ascaris lumbricoides, the common round worm of man. This worm shows sexual dimorphism. The male is smaller and has a curved posterior end. The female is straight and larger. They copulate and the females lay eggs that grow into larvae and then adults.

Earthworms are hermaphrodite - they contain both male and female sex organs.

They reproduce by two worms lying head - to - tail and exchanging sperm. Both worms then lay eggs which hatch into young worms.
