Pick something NOT cool, and it will become cool.

DON'T NAME HER ASHLEY!!!!!!!!!!! Or Skylar, or anything else that is TRYING to be cool. It just isn't.

Give her a normal name, like Katherine (you could call her Kat if you wanted) or Anna.

DON'T call her by a boy's nickname. I hate it when in books the female is called Charlie or something. People don't seem to get that we don't have to be LIKE men to be as good as them! Both sexes have their own good points!!

you may get author's Digest's character Naming Sourcebook. It has names from a team of nationalities and tells what all of them mean. there is likewise assorted suggestion approximately naming your characters. I continually bypass to it whilst i'm writing.

Chloe, Monique, Isabella. Try to go with something that matches their personalities. Chloe could be someone who is fun and quirky, Monique can be someone who is artistic and independent and Isabella can be someone who is intelligent and compassionate.
