There are numerous law schools in New York City. There's New York University, Columbia, Fordham Law School, Cardozo Law School (a school in Yeshiva University), and New York Law School (different from NYU). St. John's University Law School and City University of New York School of Law are both in Queens. Brooklyn Law School is in, surprise surprise, Brooklyn. Touro Law School is in Central Islip--not that far from NYC. Pace is also right outside NYC in White Plains. Hofstra is a bit further in Long Island.

There are several other legal institutions in New York state such as Syracuse or Albany.

As for price, all school's have this on their respective websites. Go to their websites and visiit their "prospective students" page. Usually there will be a link to financial aid and it will have the cost. They will vary widely as there are both public and private, secular and religious institutions listed here.

Think long and hard about the price you will be paying to go to law school. You're talking big bucks many have trouble paying back. Much better if your parents help out.

If you want to work for a big firm in NYC, you could probably get away with going to a top 10 school outside of NY. Go to the best school you can get into. This will be largely determined by your LSAT score.

Otherwise, if you want to live and work in NYC, you would be best served by going to law school there. It would difficult to find a job with a degree from Buffalo or Rutgers which are cheaper. It would help of course if you got top grades or had friends to hire you. The former is hard to predict.

I would also recommend you move there first and see what you think. You might consider working for a law firm to see if you like it (if you haven't already).

Cost? With no help? To live in NY?

$100,000 - 120,000 conservative estimate which includes living expenses.

Buffalo, Rutgers, CUNY - 10-15000 a year tuition instead of 25-30,000.

You may be better off attending a law school outside NYC, maybe NJ or PA or upstate NY

Schools in NYC are going to be EXTREMELY expensive
