Amateur Radio is a terrific hobby that equips you to do missions work as well as many other activities that will benefit not only yourself but others around you.

http://www.arrl.org is a good place to get information on it.

The hobby is less expensive than most activities for men, it is educational, you can build things, learn how things work, talk to people all around the world, become entrenched in the fraternal friendship shared among Ham radio operators world wide, and serve your community and the world with emergency and disaster relief commnuications.

If your going to do something, why not do something that is as good for the world as it is for you?

Knit! There are lots of resources online where you can learn to and supplies (like needles and yarn) are inexpensive to purchase at stores like Michael's and Joann

Find something that you'd think you'd like. Something that relates to your interests. For example, I have a gigantic Mickey and Minnie Mouse plush collection. It's easy to add to, doesn't cost me a fortune, and I love it. Find something you like and are passionate about, something you'll enjoy collecting.

    hahahahaha...

You know card games aren't that bad. Well, as long as you have someone to play against and can get cheap cards. I also happen to know that certain tournaments offer laptop cpus and other electronics.....

It also happens to be fun!
