there is NO SUCH thing as cleansing the liver. those who state such are misguiding. some say there is such a thing as liver stones, however, in reality they are bile duct stones. high fatty foods, bad diet can attribute to the leading of gallstones.
there really isn't a safe alternative to cleanse the liver without harmful side effects whether you take a liver cleansing concoction or pill.
cleansing the liver - is cleansing your entire body.
go vegan for two weeks, drink water and green tea-no sugars-not even fake.
this is the safest alternative to anything anyone will ever try to make you purchase. remember, things that seem too good to be true are putting their health at risk-even in healthy subjects compaired to those with actual diseases that when taken, can exabborate an existing condition. people lose their lives daily by taking a suggestion of herbal remedies and concoctions and pills that claim they are "all natural".
i had hcv, tried non-conventional medications, ie, herbs.
the only herb i know that has any benefit to those with hcv or any other liver disease where the alt and asts levels can be affected are that of MILK THISTLE. it doesnt cleanse your liver, it merely helps it lesson the load on the liver and makes digestion and filteration a bit easier.
as always, do NOT take anything anyone suggests without consulting your doctor! i have known many who do cleansing with olive oil and lemon juice, to claim actual stones were removed, seen pictures and diagrams in person and if they were true calcified stones, you would not be able to "cut" them in half without them crumbling into a million peices.
then there are those who claim if you take this, or drink that your body will balance itself out, become healthier, ect, ect. but there is no balance if your on a see-saw routine.
drink water-gain most of your protein from vegetable sources for two weeks and lay off the sugar. follow that with a well balanced meal diet. it's more a lifestyle change than a quick dangerous "fix".
*hcv is not cured by milk thistle, it is not a cure-alt and ast levels can be lowered however and alt and ast at chronically high levels have been in indication of cancerous cell growths.
