Probably the wrestler, as his profession is related to fighting. The power lifter may not know how to fight.

The Sumo wrestler, because his background fighting style is using the opponents weight and force against them. It may look like they are just pushing each other around, but a power lifter who weighs say 270 pounds will be tossed around by a Sumo wrestler who weighs less than he does. Its a matter of functional strength, not actual strength. Who cares if the power lifter can lift 400 pounds easily, he is used to lifting that weight a certain way, and the weight isnt fighting back either.

A Sumo wrestler has to force his weight and use the others weight against him at the same time. Its brawn versus talent, and talent always wins.

It would be a fun fight to watch. Assuming neither person had any other combat training, I think it could go either way. The Sumo wrestler would be able to take the power lifter down, but he wouldn't be able to take advantage of this and do any real damage on the ground. The power lifter would scramble up and throw punches. Though strong as an ox, without proper technique his punches wouldn't be nearly as effective as a boxer's, and the Sumo wrestler would be able to absorb the blows and take him down again. This pattern would continue until one fighter became exhausted. So whoever had better cardio would win.

sumo wresler coz he is trained to fight but the power lifter can lift him and body slam him if the sumo guy gave him a chance which is unlikily coz hes a trained fighter and he can also sit on the power lifter. The strongest power lifters can lift 500lb or sometimes more but the weight he lifts is steady and not a moving object but a sumo wresler moves.

Probably the Sumo. I saw a kickboxing exhibition once between a retired kickboxer and a Sumo. The poor kickboxer couldn't get close enough to anything vital to cause damage. Body shots just hit blubbler and had no effect. The Sumo was painfully slow but when he did connect there was so much weight behind it that he could knock the guy around.
