Help...pop ups all over. I did a spybot search & destroy and I also ran ad-aware. Cleaned everything out.?

I still have pop ups. I am using Internet Explorer. This is my work computer. Any suggestions of what I can do to clean this up? I have never had pop ups like this.

    I'd recommend (housecall)

    - run the spyware and malware checks in safe mode

immediately after you run the checks reboot, don;t even open 1 window to any program.

    - get a program called hijack this and run it as well, it will tell you if your browser has been hijacked and will clean it out.

    - try windows defender as well.

    - uninstall internet explorer and reinstall

    - if all that fails, you should repair or reload windows

in the meantime, try using firefox browser until you get the problems resolved.

also try a 3rd party system utility (link is below)

I frequently have the two Spybot & advert-conscious on my device, considering each and every application will many times discover some secret agent ware that the different one won't. in spite of the incontrovertible fact that, Spybot DOES have an energetic protection approach which works to resign you from getting contaminated, on an analogous time as advert-conscious would not (a minimum of no longer interior the final version I used). We use Spysweeper at artwork which plenty into memory to actively guard your device.

all these answers are great and all, but I'd really suggest you go get firefox from

    along with fasterfox (speed plugin)

its a much more secure browser which will lower your chances of infection in the future and can be a "patch" for the problem you have with current popups (stop using IE)

BTW I love spybot, be sure to update it, run it, then allow it to restart the comp and then run on its own before everything loads up.

before hand though, I'd polish up on understanding whats running first.

try ctrl, alt, del all at once and click the processes tab.

click on the "username" box and google each of the processes running (typically next to your username). This will help you pinpoint problems, and help you to get to know how to fight them.

What are you calling popups? The ads that crop up on websites? They are not spyware, they are ads and only a good popup blocker will get nearly all of them. Like antispyware, nothing will block them all, but Google's toolbar and popup blocker manages to get the ones that used to bother me.

Got somethin from somewhere. Look through the registry for any suspicious names. Names that look like 362KL427KJR, or something like it, are suspect. Google the suspicious names to find out what they are. It will be clear what you need to delete. Also try CCleaner.

its not spyware or adware itsa a virus. download avg7.5 and do a scan then follow the directions to get rid of it. its most likely a trojan in your registry.

You have been infected by a spyware.

Download the latest spyware detector. Its free.
