Free Online Math Tutor?

Where can I find a free online math tutor? I love computers but I have a really bad time in mathematics. I just want to learn the basics before I go on to college math. I still need to learn how to do 9th grade math. lol yes embarrassing as it sounds. But It's hard trying to follow along when you get lost. Then trying to cope, but I just want to start from the start.

Your advice would be helpful.

Thank You.

The best free website for math help that I know is mathgoodies.com

They have some retired math teachers that help people with math. They also have links to some online tutorials. They will be happy to give you links to the right ones for the areas you need help with.

When you go on to college math, if you have questions, you can post problems, and they will show you how to work one, then if you post your work, they will tell you if you are right or not, and if you made a mistake, they will show you how to fix it. They have forums for everything from basic math all the way through college math.

Hiring a private math tutor for one-on-one tutoring is the best way to go. But since you prefer an online math tutor, you can try some online tutoring services like:

    1) http://www.tuitionplaza.com/tutoring/ - tutoring by retired teachers and volunteers (free)

    2) http://www.tutor.com - tutoring by professional tutors (not free)

    3) ... and many more (use search engine).

    Good luck!
