    No, of course not. The fuel consumption is not affected.

    And if you really take it on the penny, you even loose some interest if re-filling earlier than necessary.

    You're better off maintaining a half tank at all times....reason's because are;

    A full tank is HEAVY....water alone weighs roughly 8 pounds per gallon, i know for a fact gasoline isn't too far off from that figure. So figure...a 13-15 gallon tank has a lot of weight to it...

    roughly 100 pounds for a full tank that you're lugging between evaporation and just dragging the're better off keep a half tank.

    Also take all unneeded heavy equipment out of your car....obviously don't care 50 pound dumb bells in your trunk.

    Any massive difference in gas intake might want to be unnoticeable. A gallon of gas weighs about about 6 pounds. 1/2 a tank for a Civic might want to be round six gallons (less than 40 pounds of gas). Any helpful factors in gas economy might want to be negligible.

    It will help save money because it will cut down on evaporation-and prices might go up again by the time its only 1/4 filled!

    Only if the price goes up the next day,which is certainly possible these days.

    actually it probably costs a little more due to the extra weight of carrying more fuel

    i think my gas runs better when its half tank (over the half way line, not under) than if I just buy lower than that, it seems to run out faster. i dunno

    I don't see why it would. My friend does this but its so he never runs out.
