Best Answer: This could be a number of different things and could easily be reflux acting up again but she needs to be checked out thoroughly by a pediatrician to diagnose her symptoms especially if they include ear infection, fever, bronchitis, hoarseness or other respiratory conditions that are a result of the acid inflaming and wearing away at her esophagus. They do make Prevacid that children can take as early as 1 year old! There are a lot of health conditions that will only get worse if untreated. She could also have any other number of different stomach related illnesses, viruses or health problems. She's obviously miserable so please take her in ASAP! It's not her fault she's in pain and her only way to communicate that to you is crying and being difficult. I know it's hard but make sure you're being as patient as possible with her. Good luck!
Sounds like acid reflux to me, it might be being triggered by something she's eating. Lying down usually makes it worse. My boyfriend gets reflux when he eats ice cream or drinks milk, so your daughter might have a similar sensitivity to some kinds of food. Talk to her doctor and ask for a prescription. Don't let her go on with acid reflux, it's incredibly painful and can make it difficult to breathe, and can also destroy her esophagus.

You must take her to a doctor, and if you're not happy with your current doctor then ask to see another for a second opinion. If you can't do that right now and you live in the UK then call NHS direct and ask for their advice. They will be able to advise you. The number is 0845 46 47 and they are available 24 hours a day.
don't just assume that it is a milk allergy/sensitivity. ask about food allergies and/or get her tested. my son was misdiagnosed with acid reflux. turns out he is allergic to eggs and nuts. FYI- a lot of baby/toddler foods have eggs or egg proteins eventhough the baby books tell you to introduce eggs last into a childs diet because of the high incidence of allergies. And if it does turn out to be an allergy you need to check everything not just food. I found out after going to the allergist that my baby's gum cleanser had egg protein. He also can't get the flu shot. Just something to consider
She could have a milk allergy.
Just defining her problem as reflux is only part of he issue; you have to remove the offending agent, and I assume at her age, it is dairy.
Try her on a Soy Based formula, and if you see improvement, you will have your answer!
GOOD LUCK and try to stay calm!
