Who are some authors that didn't begin their careers until later in their life?

Is 45 too old too start a writing career?

    Most authors I know started late.

    I know a few here and there that started young.

    45 is not too late. It might be just right.

    Ernest Hemingway. Michael Crichton. Both had full carreers prior to thier greatest literary achievements.

    I believe Margaret Mitchell was older when she wrote "Gone With The Wind".

    copernicus find out that the sun is the center of our galaxy and earth is a planet which comes round but he was afraid of being killed by christians who thought that the earth is in the centre and he published his book when he felt that he would die. (He did in the same year.)
