In my reading, Buddhism has no stance on inter-faith marriages. Your path toward greater awareness can include interactions with all manner of people in all levels of intensity. Marrying a man who is Buddhist will not guarantee you enlightenment, nor will marrying someone who holds to a different faith will impede your journey.

Each person has their own experience of suffering, and Buddhist recognition of this helps us to see the oneness of everyone & everything.

However, I should also say that asking such a question suggests the possibility you have some misgivings about the relationship, and you may want to ponder what (other than religion or philosophy) has caused you to question your potential marriage.

I ain't a Buddhist but I know one thing, Buddha was a man who wanted all men to get out of their own boundaries created if their soul permits. You can do whatever you want as long as it doesn't prick any part of your soul and you are sure that it is right. The other criteria to make decision is that your actions shouldn't put anybody in harm's way. As far as I have understood Buddhism, if your action meets these two basic criteria, then you can go ahead and do whatever you want. Hope this helps you. There are no precise rules set by Buddha which will make you attain salvation. It's up to you to decide the path and search for righteousness and true way of living. It can be different for every individual in this world but ultimately the search is for salvation.

    Best of luck.

    You think like a Christian.

Buddhism is about being yourself, and knowing for yourself.

If a religion tells you not to marry the man you love, why would you want to be a part of that religion anyway?

Buddhism isn't about having guidelines to run your life. It is about having an ordinary mind and doing what you think is right. You are the only one you have to answer to. Do what you think is right. Do what you think will make you happy.

    I'm Buddhist & married to a non-practicing Christian.

Buddhism is very tolerant of all religion. My husband lets me have Buddhas in our home & does not disturb my meditation.

Just be sure before you marry someone of another faith that you discuss these issues & that you discuss any issues of how you would raise any children you would have. If you would expose them to both faiths & let them choose as they got older, or make one faith primary. We dont have children so it's not an issue.

    Good luck.

All varieties of Buddhism are very tolerant - love is love.

Just so long as he is tolerant of your faith, there should be no problem.

Find a Christian man, and find Jesus Christ.
