HIV and Hepatitis are the only two that can be detected by blood tests. HIV takes anywhere from a week to months to show (you don't get AIDS, you get HIV which leads to AIDS).

The best place to go for information is the CDC's website. They have info on every STD that's very easy to read.

It all depends on the STD. Herpes can stay dormant in the body for a long time(ex:chicken pox, a form of the herpes virus-there are three forms.) chlamydia manisfets intself farely quickly in most case and syphillus and ghonoreah too. AIDES and the HIV virusu can take anywhere from 1 week to six months to show up in the blood stream. The best course of action against STD's is regular check ups and protected sex. If you think you may have a STD tesing is the only way to find out.
