The Principality of Genovia ("Kingdom of Genovia" in the films) (pronounced "zhä'no'vë'ä" in the films by native Genovians, but often as "jä'no'vë'ä" by outsiders) is a fictional country central to the plot of the novel The Princess Diaries and the films based on them (see The Princess Diaries (film)). Their author, Meg Cabot, made up the country of Genovia, but based it on Monaco. The sequel film, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement, marks the first time Genovia is seen properly on screen. It was shown briefly in the first film from an airplane window. You might also like this link: http://www.answers.com/genovia?gwp=11&ver=2.1.1.52...

Genovia, officially The Serene Empire of Genovia, is a country in the region of The Alliance of Grittonia, bordering San Pellegrino Romana. The capital city is Venta Silurum, and its largest city is Strasbourg in the state of Oslo. Gyflada is geographically, a medium sized State within it's region. The founding of Genovia is very unclear, however it is guessed to have been in the 1500s. The first person mentioned to have lead what was then a small community was a young man aged around 28 years old. His name is uncertain but records have been found, which have lead people to believe his name to be Guyis Deverow.

Genovia holds five territories which are Rabelliad, Hayle, Marlborough, Triabunna Shabti and The Principality of Mann which has a shared Prince-ship The Matthew Islands. These are all semi-autonomous territorial states. Each territory has a Governor-General who is the Representative of His Majesty the King. Genovia has many pine forests dotted around the country, and has 4 official rivers and two official lakes which can be easily noticed on the national map. Genovia's temperature rises to 14°C during the winter, and the temperature in the summer can rise to 42°C, usually

It is a fictional place said to be located between France and Spain. It is supposed to model Monoco, a real country about the size of Rhode Island. But remember, this is a fictional. It is not in Russian, Europe, Britain, and yes I know Britain is in Europe.

It doesn't exist.... "Genovia" is a fictional place. Fiction means something that is made-up.
