In the diagram j//n and m /_1 is 130 degrees. Find the measure of each angle.

The total measure of a line is 180 degrees. Angles 1 and 2 make up an entire line. Therefore,

m1 + m2 = 180

130 + m2 = 180

m2 = 50 degrees

Since j and n are parallel, m2 and m3 are equal. Therefore, m3 is equal to 50 degrees. Angle 3 and 4 make up an entire line. Therefore,

m3 + m4 = 180

50 + m4 = 180

m4 = 130 degrees
