    b) the upper class

The middle class in today's America is slowly shrinking, with more people dropping down into the lower class, the majority going from middle to lower. A small percentage make it from middle to upper, but not many. The upper class is now actually smaller and more concentrated in terms of wealth than in earlier times.

Some people consider six-figure salaried people to be "upper class", but in truth, the real upper class is composed of people who do not have to work for a wage - people who have dividend-producing investments, and properties, and who get their incomes from that. Six-figure salaried people would be more accurately considered "upper-middle class", a top-end subgroup of the middle class.

    None of the above.

Americans (not saying all so don't attack me) that do think

like that think they are in a class of thier own.

But why restrict this to the US, when it is actually worldwide...

    upper class (AKA rich)

I just don't like people saying that the rich are evil, rotten people that don't care about anybody else.

America is a classless society. They have no class at all.
