    Meaning---意思 :

    Remain cheerful in a difficult situation. ----在困境中仍保持好情緒

    Origin ---來源 :

    原先很多人以為這是來自維多利亞女王時代的一句格言 類似 --Keep a stiff upper lips (在逆境中仍保有勇氣的意思) , 但其實這句片語是來自美國 , 最早出現在 1900 年 十月 的 賓州民主黨晚報 , 在給健康歡樂品質的妙語短文記載如下 :

    "Keep your chin up. Don't take your troubles to bed with you - hang them on a chair with your trousers or drop them in a glass of water with your teeth." - [they were easily amused in Pennsylvania in 1900].

    短文大概就是敎人保持好情緒 , 把麻煩如同褲子一樣往椅子掛上 , 或和你的假牙一樣丟入一杯水中 , 而不把煩惱帶到床上 ,睡覺還困惑著你 因為這段短文很逗趣也很有哲理 , 所以後來大家就引用第一句的 Keep your chin up 這片語來教人在困境中仍應保持好的情緒或堅定的意志
